| Hawaii is emphasizing constructing a P-20 model of education that involves all levels of education including the business community, state legislature, and the Governor's office. The state received a $500,000 grant from the Kellogg Foundation and has since distributed some funds to programs throughout the state. The state also has Running Start, which is a dual credit program allowing high school students to engage in college level course work and secure college credit. In addition, Tech Prep is widely discussed and well developed and has evolved into a career pathway system that involves collaboration between high school and college faculty. |
