At a Glance

Georgia’s academic pathways range from local programs and partnerships to statewide initiatives. The early college high schools and Gateway to College schools are a priority of the state's P-16 office. These high schools are intended to increase high school graduation and college-going rates, especially for racial and ethnic minority students. The use of AP courses and exams is considered an important contributor to the increased rigor of academic instruction in the high schools.
